Slovenia
The architecture in Slovenia, and especially it's capital Ljubljana ("Lube-li-ana"), was influenced by the Austro-Hungarian empire during the 17th and 18th centuries, rather than by medieval Venice (like coastal Croatian). Unlike Bosnia and Croatia, Slovenia's independence from Yugoslavia was relatively peaceful (the "Ten-day war" in 1991), and today the it is the most affluent and European of the former Yugoslav republics.
